Dear SwimAmerica Parents,

This week is the last week of the Fall 2 session. If you have not registered for the Fall 3 session yet, you can still do so. Please remember the importance of attending 2 classes per week, if possible. The repetition is very beneficial to retaining the skills learned. The Fall 3 session will run from Monday October 28 until Saturday November 23.  Thursday classes will begin November 7. We will not have classes on Halloween. Monday, November 11, Veterans Day, we will also have no classes. After the Fall 3 session, we will take a one week break over Thanksgiving.

Below are the results from the SwimAmerica Meet on Friday October 18.  What a day, cloudy, windy and a high of 77. High praise for all the swimmers who showed up and swam all their events anyway. It was not easy. Overall, the times suffered a little bit, but that is ok. The technique still looked great. Here are the results:

Please compare your child’s times to the times of your child from the previous meet. The swimmers’ ages range from 5-12 years old and they are in level 6-10.  Times in brackets are from the last meet. A big THANK YOU to all the volunteers. We would not be able to do these meets without you.

Babysitting

Some of our coaches are also available for babysitting. This is independent of SwimAmerica. If you are interested, you can ask Coach Biggi for some phone numbers.

We would like to let you know that we created a new category, Swim Fit. Swim Fit is for those swimmers who pass level 10, but do not want to compete, or are too busy with other commitments to join the team at the moment.

That group meets Wednesday and Thursday at 5:50.
